Seeking C/RAPA zine

So can anyone here lay their hands on their old stash of C/RAPAs? Perhaps you, kalimac? I'm looking for the second issue of the zine that carl juarez and I contributed, which seems to have gone missing from the folder that has the other two issues. It was called Cities 2, and it would have been in a 1980 distribution. If anyone could locate a copy, please let me know. I'm working on a sekrit projekt.

Unfortunately I can't help you, at least for now. The only 1980 disty I have in my files is 17 (October), though I ought to have 16 (August) and 18 (December) as well. But if I do, they got separated long ago and are in some unidentified box. I know that you and carl were in 16, because I commented on it in 17 - something about an extrapolation on cover blurbs and Steven King, if that helps - and by the equivalent token probably not in 18.

Besides Denys, others in the apa at the time included Jane Hawkins, Jerry Kaufman, Elinor Busby, Rich McAllister, Alan Bostick, and Jeanne Gomoll, to limit to those I know are still findable.

Thanks! Of course I live with the OE, but he can't find his stash either. I've posted a message to vanguard-disc that should be seen by Jane and Jerry. Rich used to read LJ, but I don't think I've seen him around here for a while.

Oh, and disty 16 must be the one I'm looking for, because carl's bit about Steven King's blurbs is not in the two zines I do have.

If nothing else turns up, give me another nudge and I'll plow through the rest of my fanzine collection. But not before two weeks from now, because I'm mostly inaccessible in the interim.

btw, Anna wasn't in C/rapa at the time, though she might have picked up some additional issues. Bob Doyle was, though.

Brilliant! Thank you! I've remembered that I'm also looking for a cover carl did involving a man with a weed whacker. If you spot that too, that'd be terrific.

Found it
Cities 2 found, in C/RAPA 16, in the first box I opened. It was even one of the first 3-4 zines I pulled out, but for some reason I thought I was looking for C/RAPA 18 (which I still haven't found, tho I've goe 16-17, 19-22 in hand.) Unlike many of the other zines in the box it appears uncontaminated by cat urine! What next?

Randy, I assume you've already checked with Andy? The boxes and boxes and boxes of Anna's fanzines that are in his garage included her C/RAPA mailings, though finding a particular mailing would be a nightmare.

I'd thought of that, but see kalimac's comment above. If Jerry doesn't respond on vanguard-disc, I may pester him directly.

This is going to be one of those things that's referenced EVERYWHERE but has otherwise vanished. Congratulations! You're in a medieval manuscript!

As Dr Frank-N-Furter said, "I think we can do better than that." (I hope!) I thought I'd lost all my copies of those zines, but just yesterday I finally found the folder (after having searched for it twice before). Then I found it was still missing one issue. Argh!
